Gerald Flurry is the pastor general of the Philadelphia Church of God and the editor in chief of the Philadelphia Trumpet newsmagazine.

He is also the presenter of the Key of David television program, which airs on television stations all around the world, as well as on the radio. He is chancellor of Herbert W. Armstrong College, located in Edmond, Oklahoma, and the chairman of the Armstrong International Cultural Foundation.

Mr. Flurry has been an ordained minister in God’s Church for over 40 years. He was ordained in the Worldwide Church of God under the leadership of founder Hebert W. Armstrong, who died on Jan. 16, 1986. He served as a pastor in the Oklahoma City and Enid, Oklahoma, congregations. However, he was excommunicated on Dec. 7, 1989 for resisting extensive doctrinal changes from Church leadership who moved away from the example set by Herbert W. Armstrong.

In light of all the very disconcerting doctrinal changes that were taking place after Mr. Armstrong’s death, Gerald Flurry wrote Malachi’s Message. Its purpose was to make these radical changes known to the ministry first and then to the Church membership. But once a draft of the book was presented to the WCG administration, both Gerald Flurry and his assistant, John Amos, were fired. Gerald Flurry immediately founded the Philadelphia Church of God.

Since the Church’s establishment in 1989, Mr. Flurry has followed in the footsteps of Mr. Armstrong. The PCG has continued doing God’s Work as Mr. Flurry preaches the wonderful news that Jesus Christ will soon intervene to save mankind from the insurmountable problems it faces today, as well as deliver a sobering warning to God’s Church, the nations of Israel and the world.
